What type of photography do you do?
I specialize in newborns and family including maternity or even portraits. I also do weddings + elopements! My style would be “Lifestyle” meaning I try to stay away from too many “posey” photos. I will suggest poses that naturally bring a sense of intimacy, laughter or any other sense of bold emotion. Will you take a few standing and smiling? Of course, but the goal is for the shoot to be as organic as possible. (this is the same concept for weddings as well)
Do you include a second shooter? (weddings)
I am a solo photographer but I will hire out for a photographer if needed! Second shooters are ala carte and that is simply for the reason that not everybody needs them at their wedding and it becomes an unnecessary addition to your custom wedding package if it’s not needed. With that being said, any wedding over 6 hours with more than 50 guests will need a second shooter if you’re wanting the best turnout!
Examples of times a second shooter will be needed:
Groom and groomsmen are getting ready off site, separate location from the bride and bridesmaids (or vise versa).
You want dual coverage of walking down the aisle from both bride and groom perspective at the same time. This is a big one!
You have a big venue and want two areas covered at once (during dancing, etc.) More dancing and party candids!
While I am shooting bride + groom portraits, you want photos of cocktail hour.
You simply want two different perspectives. This is always worth it in my opinion!
What is your booking process? (weddings)
After you fill out a contact form on the contact page, I will typically get back to you within a few hours. From there we will email about your ideal date and for weddings- your ideal coverage time, budget and vision for your big day!
After that we will set up a meeting (usually Starbucks because coffee is life) and look over your wedding timeline and delegate each hour of your coverage. I LOVE this part because as a bride you leave our meeting feeling planned and organized.
After that, we sign the contract and you will be required to put down a 15% deposit to hold your date! If you choose a wedding package with a complimentary engagement then we will go ahead and schedule that as well!
After this I am your go to gal for anything and everything I can assist you with! I truly love this business and love being helpful for my brides!
How many photos will I get back?
For hour long sessions (Portraits, Engagement or family) I guarantee no less than 40+ photos/HR. This varies simply on the amount of posing you’re willing to do and the versatility of the location! I know everybody sees themselves differently in photos. I try my best to give you multiple angles of the same shot simply so you find the picture you like best. Everybody likes options!
For elopements you can expect anywhere from 115-250 photos depending on your package (which varies from 3-5hrs). Weddings are guaranteed 50+ photos an hour and the same thing applies as stated above. The reason weddings give more is simply because different events during your big day come with more photo opportunities. I do my best to give you as many options as possible. I try to find a nice middle between not overwhelming my bride + groom with an extreme excess and giving you options to pick your favorite! I am a big fan of the in between and not so “picture perfect” moments as well. Your gallery should tell a very clear story and I cherish every part of it! I will always meet my minimum on your gallery but never hold back on giving more then expected!
